Is it a crime to have cannabis at home in Spain?
Possession for personal use in a private home is not a crime. It can be if the cannabis is considered intended for others, which is assessed by the quantity, how it is packaged and other evidence. In public places, possession or use is punished with an administrative fine.
What happens if I am caught growing cannabis?
It depends on the number of plants, their intended use and the circumstances. Growing for personal use may not be a crime, but if the plants are visible from outside it can lead to an administrative fine, and if they are considered intended for trafficking it can be a drug offence.
Can I appeal a roadside drug test fine?
Yes. From the date of notification you have 20 calendar days to submit objections or pay with a 50% discount. We review the file to tell you whether you have real grounds for appeal.
